Fees and Rebates
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends a standard fee of $300 for each 46-60 minute session. However, to enable psychological services to be more accessible for our community, Tamborine Mountain Psychology applies the following fee schedule. All sessions are 50 minute duration.
Please note that Tamborine Mountain Psychology is not a bulk billing practice.
Individual Counselling
You do not require a referral to make an appointment. However, if you are referred by a GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician (Mental Health Care Plan), you will be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $93.35 for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

Couples/family counselling
This involves psychological counselling with multiple parties present. It often involves multiple therapeutic goals and strategies.

Non-clinical support
This is appropriate where there is no mental health concern, however you are seeking emotional growth or new skills development (e.g. leadership, communication)

$210 (inc. GST)
Accounts are payable at the completion of each session. Medicare rebates are generally paid within 24-48 hours of appointments. All fees listed include GST where applicable. NDIS funded appointments are charged as per the current NDIS price guide for appropriate service. Third party funded sessions (e.g. CTP, Employee Support Services) are charged at $260 per 60 minute session to cover associated administrative requirements). Reports are charged at a rate of $250/hour plus GST for preparation.
Services
Third party billing (e.g. DVA, ADF, Open Arms, WorkCover, CTP)- Third parties will be invoiced directly. No payment is required from you.
Cancellation/No-Show Policy: Due to the high demand for mental health services and limited availability, it is important to be efficient with appointments. Cancelled appointments will be offered to other people in need. If unable to attend an appointment, please notify Tamborine Mountain Psychology at least 24 hours prior to scheduled appointments. Cancellations within 24 hours of appointments or non-attendance will incur a cancellation fee equal to the price of the session booked. This includes DVA funded sessions.
