Tamborine Mountain Psychology was established by psychologist and Tamborine Mountain local, Nev Jones. It prides itself in being a small community-based psychology practice offering assessment and treatment of a wide range of chronic and acute psychological conditions and disorders. Psychological services are offered to adults of all background.
About Nev
Nev is a registered psychologist and Tamborine Mountain resident who was drawn to the area’s natural beauty and strong sense of community. He believes that no matter where we are in life, we all have the potential to grow. His role is to support clients on their journey and assist in finding meaning in life, connection with others, and ultimately contentedness with one’s self.

Fees and Rebates
Individual counselling sessions of 60 minutes duration attract a fee of $190. While you do not require a referral to make an appointment, a referral from a GP/psychiatrist/paediatrician with a Mental Health Care Plan will ensure you are eligible for a Medicare rebate of $93.35. This means that the total out of pocket cost for an appointment is $96.65.
Couples and family counselling sessions are charged at $250 for a 60 minute session. No Medicare rebate is available.
Non-clinical psychological support (e.g. leadership, assertiveness, communication skills training) is charged at $210 (inc GST) for a 60 minute session.
